Rendin – Category 2 Level Threat
A two-footed, colorful, feathered avian species of ara’atan, bugus are found most commonly on the continent of Parcivia. They have four eyes, two on each side, as well as large beaks that they use to crack the shells of nuts and fruits to eat. They are rather sizeable, standing at around 5-7 feet (~1,5-2.1 meters) tall.
While typically friendly and passive, female bugus tend to be more territorial than their male counterparts and will screech and peck at anyone who they consider to be a threat. Interestingly, females are far more colorful than males due to the fact that, unlike many other species of ara’atan, it is the female bugu who courts the male. While the female is still the one who lays the eggs, males tend to be the ones who raise the bugu hatchlings. Females will often have multiple partners as well, laying egg(s) for each of their lovers to care for one-by-one before flying off to court another mate.
