Jumon

The name for magic spells cast by Seraphs. Each jumon has a name which is typically spoken prior to casting, as well as a specific gesture that must be done during the cast. Jumon vary greatly in their effects depending on which Paragon it falls under, as well as the level of difficulty of the spell. Anything from the creation of a fireball to the domination of another being’s mind is possible with jumon.

There are 10 tiers that jumon are classified into depending on how hard it is to learn and master the spell.

TierDifficulty
1 – JunBeginner: These jumon are typically the first to be taught to new Seraphs.
2 – Ka’a
3 – EuchIntermediate: By the time Seraphs begin learning these jumon, they should have a strong foundation and adequate grasp of the fundamentals.
4 – Tul
5 – JoAdvanced: At this level, Seraphs ought to be more than capable of casting dozens of jumon within their Paragon with little to no effort and can begin delving into more complex ones that are often more specialized.
6 – Wa’ak
7 – Sie
8 – ChaDoyen: Only a Seraph who has mastered their Paragon to the highest of levels are capable of casting jumon at this rank and above. The “Doyen” title is bestowed on those Seraphs who has successfully developed their own unique, signature jumon spell.
9 – Bol
10 – LajunNephilim: Impossible for any regular humanoid Seraph to cast, this tier is reserved exclusively for the most potent jumon that are cast by legendary nephilim ara’atan.

Jumon are further divided into three “evolutions”, by which certain spells have been developed and refined into more powerful variants of their original versions. Base evolution jumon are called “Anza”. Second evolution jumon are called “Boresha”. And final evolution jumon are called “Kamili”.
