The Oduun Corsairs

One of several factions of pirates that mainly operate in the waters around the Jade Destiny Sect. Originally founded by a Saagas named Daklan “The Iron Buccaneer” Oduun, the leadership of the Corsairs has since fallen to a female olari’i by the name of Calista “The Steel Siren” Daggerheart. The Oduun Corsairs control three fleets in total, with two on water and one in the air, combining for over two-hundred ships and sixty-thousand pirates in total, making them one of the larger factions in the area. Due to the lack of any government-regulated naval force in the Jade Destiny Sect, the surrounding waters are instead protected and patrolled by pirate factions like the Corsairs who in return, benefit from exclusive rights to trading with Jade Destiny citizens and merchants. These pirate factions negotiate agreements on territory control with one-another so as to not compete for potential marks. The Oduun Corsairs, having been allocated a large portion of the East Jade Sea and the southern part of the Zokirian Ocean, often find themselves in conflict with vessels heading to and from the Kingdom of Eternals, and as a result, have become quite accustomed to skirmishes with the Eternal Fleet.

The Oduun Corsairs primarily operate out of the underwater city of Tekara’maku, using specially built pirate ships that double as both surface boats and underwater submarines in their two main fleets. However, also have a number of additional bases set up within their territory as both port cities and underwater outposts. They also have a smaller aerial fleet as well, deployed on the rare occasions the Corsairs need to conduct business on land. The saagas sisters, Scylla and Charybdis Neptune, command the Northern and Southern Corsair fleets respectively, while the nirgul pirate Fal Khan commands the aerial fleet. Daggerheart and her signature ship, the Shadow of the Deep, sail independently for the most part, joining in with either of the two naval fleets as necessary.
