Following the Resonance event that drew the majority of the sentient alien species to Kylia, annual timekeeping began using A.R. or After Resonance, as a means of tracking years passing. At some point early on, the season, month, week, and day systems were also developed. There are five distinct seasons on Kylia that originally correlated to the different farming periods. Within these five seasons are four months each, totaling twenty months in a year. Weeks are broken down into seven, 20-hour days, each named after one of the Paragons. All months have exactly three weeks, meaning all seven days are repeated thrice in a month. As a result of this, instead of being numbered, days are recorded by name and the week of the month (1-3). Ex. Interra 1, Wadi 8973 would read as the first day of the first week of the month of Wadi in the year 8973 A.R. whereas Divina 3, Ashara 8556 would be the fifth day of the third week of the month of Ashara in the year 8556 A.R.
